Catherine Roseman:We have had a really incredible time in Botswana!!!! It was a good thing that Footsteps camp was without WiFi because we all went on game rides, mokoro rides, walking safaris, air rifle target shooting and the BEST food ever, even though the chef cooked on a fire or coals! Chobe was the perfect starting point for our trip and we all agree ending at Footsteps was the right decision. We were ready for the bush and we had the most incredible guides, Opie and Gorote! We felt like the people at both camps treated us like family and we felt safe at all times. So many adventures I can’t even begin to write them all down. Our bucket is full! I am so impressed with your travel itinerary you organized for us and would recommend you highly in the future!!

Everything about the tour was just so good, the preparation and detail you went into, the experiences we had, our interactions with our tour leader Graham, laughs and jokes together, etc.
The wonderful hotels, train journeys, the switchback day, train stations, our itinerary, the guides who were excellent. We were able to totally relax and this made it so special.

There were 42 passengers on board from all over the world. We met some really great folks from South Africa and abroad (Fourways, Cape Town, USA, Poland, UK, France, Finland and Germany)
Drinks flowed non-stop from the second we arrived on board until we disembarked and we had many great conversations over wine and whisky and made some new friends.
The food was absolutely outstanding and the chef came to talk to us about dietary needs and there was an adequate variety of food which was so beautifully prepared and presented.
Would we recommend Rovos Rail’s journey from Pretoria to Victoria Falls – MOST DEFINITELY.
